How to set a reorder point
Section titled “How to set a reorder point”- Go to Stock → Tracking & Analytics → Reorder Policy and click New policy.
- Pick the Product, the Variant and the Location. These three identify the policy and are locked once saved.
- Fill in the numbers you want: Minimum stock, Maximum stock, Reorder point, Reorder quantity, Safety stock and Lead time (days).
- Set the Effective date.
- Click Save.
A policy holds minimum and maximum stock, the reorder point, the reorder quantity, safety stock, the supplier lead time in days, an effective date, and an auto-reorder switch. Only the item and the branch are actually required — everything else is optional.
Leave the reorder point blank and the planner works one out for you each run, from forecast demand over the lead time plus safety stock.
The per-policy auto-reorder switch also does nothing unless the business-wide auto-reorder setting is on. When it is off the switch is greyed out.

How to work out what to buy
Section titled “How to work out what to buy”- Go to Stock → Tracking & Analytics → Replenishment.
- Click Run replenishment. The dialog tells you the scope — the whole company, or just the branch selected in the top bar.
- Leave Service level at 95% unless you have a reason to change it.
- Set Order every (days) to how often you actually place orders. The default is 7.
- Click Save. You will be told how many suggestions came from how many policies.
- Work down the list. Click any row for Explain, which shows the exact arithmetic — stock position, forecast demand, lead time, safety stock and the rounding.
- Change the Order qty, Unit cost or Supplier if you need to, then click Accept. Use Dismiss for ones you do not want.
- When you have accepted everything you want, click Convert accepted to POs or Convert accepted to requisitions and confirm.
Run evaluates your policies and raises a suggestion wherever the stock position — what you have, less what is reserved, plus what is already on order — has fallen to the reorder point. It suggests bringing you back up to your maximum, rounded to the supplier’s order multiple and minimum.
Each suggestion keeps a snapshot of the figures behind it, so Explain shows the exact arithmetic that produced it rather than recalculating.
You can accept, dismiss, or change the quantity or supplier, then Convert to PO or Convert to Requisition. Suggestions are grouped into one document per supplier per branch.
A run happens automatically each night for policies with auto-reorder on. By default that only writes suggestions for you to review. A business can opt into having drafts created automatically, and even then they are still drafts.
Replenishment is online only — Run and Convert do not work without a connection.
Demand Forecast, ABC Classification and Stock Aging
Section titled “Demand Forecast, ABC Classification and Stock Aging”These three screens are read-only and, as shipped, you cannot make them show anything from inside the app.
| Screen | What is actually behind it |
|---|---|
| Demand Forecast | A real forecasting engine with several methods and automatic model selection. Its accuracy scoring runs nightly, but nothing in the app ever asks it to produce a forecast, so the screen stays empty. |
| ABC Classification | No calculation at all. Nothing works out your A, B and C items or writes a row. Whatever appeared would be a figure somebody sent in by hand. |
| Stock Aging | No calculation at all. Nothing measures how long stock has been sitting. |
