Verticals → Salon

The Salon pack adds a service ticket counter with a day board, and seven record screens. All of them are real and working — an earlier version of this guide said the setup screens were empty and the counter unusable, which is no longer true.

  1. Create your Stylists first. Almost everything else needs one.
  2. Make sure your services exist as ordinary products with prices.
  3. Then add appointments, chair rentals and the rest in any order.
  1. Go to Verticals → Salon & Spa → Stylists and click New record.
  2. Choose the Company and Location — both locked once saved.
  3. Enter the Display name. This is required.
  4. Add the Specialty and Phone.
  5. Set the Status — Active, On leave or Inactive.
  6. Optionally link a Customer record and a Login user.
  7. Save.

Go to Sales → Service ticket. There are two tabs.

Appointments and the Walk-in queue side by side. Each row has a button to advance its status, and a Ring up button.

  1. Choose the Stylist.
  2. Choose the Customer, or type a Walk-in name — the hint suggests “e.g. Ama (blue dress)”.
  3. Add the services and retail items from the catalogue, or scan them.
  4. Check the Total and click Settle & Pay.

Payment is real — a sale is created and tendered. A ticket with only labour on it says “Ticket settled — nothing to collect.”

To book an appointment: click New record, choose the Stylist and the Service — both required — then the Customer or a Walk-in customer name, the Appointment start, the Duration (minutes) and any Notes.

Statuses are Booked, Confirmed, Checked in, In service, Completed, No-show and Cancelled, changed with Change status.

The walk-in queue takes a Customer name (required), a Phone, an Estimated wait (minutes) and optionally a service. Statuses are Waiting, In service, Served and Left.

For stylists who rent a chair rather than being employed.

  1. Click New record and choose the Stylist.
  2. Set the Rental period — Weekly, Bi-weekly or Monthly.
  3. Enter the Amount and the Start date.
  4. Set the Status — Active, Suspended or Ended.
  5. Record Last billed through as you collect.

Three screens look like they should drive money or stock, and none of them does.

Client Photos works properly — pick the Customer, upload the Photo, set the Kind (Before, After, Reference or Progress) and record whether the Client consented. The optional Service ticket ID box has the same problem as above; leave it blank.

Several lists show a long code where a name should be — the Stylist column on Appointments, Chair rentals and Commission rules, the Customer column on Appointments and Client photos, and the Product column on Back-bar usage.

Export produces no file on any of the seven screens.

Company and Location look editable when you edit and are not.

Two screens are gated on restaurant permissions. Back-Bar Usage and the Walk-in Queue check a restaurant permission rather than a salon one, so a salon manager with full salon rights can find their buttons missing. Whoever sets up your roles needs to know this.

Chair rentals and Client photos need the Growth plan on the server. The rest of the pack is gated only on Salon being switched on, though the menu hides the whole group below Growth.
