The Restaurant pack adds a table floor plan, a kitchen display, and thirteen setup screens. All thirteen are real and working — an earlier version of this guide said they were empty, which is no longer true.

What matters now is a different distinction: only one of those thirteen changes anything at the till. The rest are records you keep, not settings the counter obeys.

  1. Make sure your dishes and drinks exist as ordinary products — the pack uses your normal catalogue, not a separate menu.
  2. Have your tables loaded (see above).
  3. Create your Kitchen Stations if you intend to use prep pars.
  4. Create your Menu Modifier Groups — this is the one setup screen the till reads.
  5. Everything else can wait.

Go to Sales → Restaurant. Tables are colour-coded Free, Occupied, Reserved and Out of service.

  1. Tap a free table. You are asked for the Number of guests.
  2. Add items to the ticket. Each line has a Modifiers button and a Note button.
  3. Choose the order type — Dine-in, Takeaway or Delivery.
  4. Tap Send to Kitchen when the order should start cooking.
  5. Tap Settle & Pay to take payment. The table is freed and a draft sale is created.

Tapping an occupied table resumes its ticket. New takeaway in the top bar starts one with no table.

Sales → Kitchen Display shows a card per ticket, advancing Sent → Preparing → Ready → Served with one button.

Modifiers — the one thing that reaches the till

Section titled “Modifiers — the one thing that reaches the till”

Menu Modifier Groups is the only setup screen the counter reads.

  1. Go to Verticals → Restaurant & Bar → Menu Modifier Groups and click New record.
  2. Choose the Company and Location — required on every screen in this pack, and locked once saved.
  3. Enter the Name, e.g. Steak temperature.
  4. Set Min select and Max select — 0 means unlimited.
  5. Set Required and Active, then save.

At the till, tapping Modifiers on a line shows the groups. Picking one folds its price into the line.

The ticket total shows a Service charge line automatically once the party is large enough. Two settings control it: the percentage, and the minimum party size, which defaults to 6.

Setup screens that record rather than control

Section titled “Setup screens that record rather than control”

These all work, and all save correctly. None of them changes what the counter does.

Screen What it records What it does not do
Menu Courses Starter, main, dessert Nothing courses a ticket; the till never asks
Void Reasons Reasons, and whether a PIN is needed Never offered when cancelling
Happy Hour Rules A discounted price and a time window No price is ever changed. Nothing applies them
Kitchen Stations Stations and a printer target Tickets are not routed; the printer target is unused
Beverage Kegs Each keg from storage to tap to empty — works as a register
Menu Recipes Portion yield and labour cost per dish Ingredients cannot be entered, so cost always reads 0
Menu Prep Pars Target quantities per day Nothing compares them to what you made
Waste Logs What was thrown away and why No stock is removed and no cost is posted
Reservations Bookings, party size and table — works as a book
Server Tips Tips per tab, pooled percentage Staff are chosen by typing an identifier

Delivery Channels and Aggregator Orders record orders taken on platforms like Uber Eats, Bolt or Glovo.

  1. Create a Delivery Channel first — the Channel kind is free text, so pick a spelling and stick to it.
  2. Then key each order under Aggregator Orders, choosing that channel.

Export produces no file. Every list offers CSV, Excel and PDF; all three show “Exporting as…” and download nothing.

Three lists show a code instead of a product name — Menu Recipes, Waste Logs and Prep Pars. Searching those lists matches the code, not the name.

Company and Location look editable when editing and are not. Both dropdowns open and let you pick, then silently keep the original.

Lists mix every branch together. No list filters by company or location, and each stops at 200 records.

Waste Logs is gated wrongly. The menu shows it to anyone with menu rights, but the screen and the server require bar rights — so it appears and then refuses to load.

The two “Days of week” boxes contradict each other. One says Monday is 1, the other says Sunday is 1. Neither value is ever used.

Splitting a bill is possible, but not from this counter. It lives on Sale Transactions → Split Tickets, and a split settles to a draft sale without taking payment. Read the warnings on trade counters before using it — settling both a split and its parent tab bills the items twice.
