If you only run one report a day, run Sales Summary Reports. It fills itself in as soon as you open it, needs no button, and gives you the whole day on tiles.

  1. Go to Reports → Sale Reports → Sales Summary Reports.
  2. Click the Today pill.
  3. Click Run report.

Then Sales Payment Summary for what you took in cash, mobile money and card, and Outstanding Sales Reports for who still owes you.

Returns are netted off, so every report shows gross, returned and net side by side. Only completed returns count — a return still in draft reduces nothing.

Layaway money is shown but held back. A layaway counts in your gross and net revenue, but its value sits in a separate Reserved (deposit) column rather than in Recognised revenue, because the goods have not gone yet.

Payments are counted on the day the money arrived, not the day of the sale. So Sales Payment Summary will not agree with the Paid tile on Sales Summary — they are answering different questions.

Refunds are not deducted from the payment reports. They are recorded on a separate document that no sales report reads, so the money you took looks higher than it was.

Outstanding Sales does not subtract returns from the balance. A sale that was returned in full but never refunded still shows the whole amount as owing. The Net column beside it is the one that accounts for the return.

Backorder Aging has no date filter — only location and customer — and its outstanding value is the only figure in the whole reports area that is not converted to your main currency.

Only some reports have a totals row. The Sale Master, Sale Detail, Payment and Outstanding reports total their money columns at the bottom. Sales by category, by user, by customer, trend, top products, group summary, contacts, repeat customer and profit margin do not. Nothing is missing — those reports simply do not add up their columns.

You cannot sort by a money or quantity column. Clicking those headings does nothing, on any report in SaleSprint.

Sale Contacts leaves out walk-ins, since it lists registered customers only. Sales by Customer collapses every walk-in sale into a single Walk-in row.

Eight of the 21 tiles on Sales Summary Reports have no English label and show their internal name instead: Net total, Total cost, Returned cost, Net cost, Recognised cost, Recognised profit, Reserved deposit and Reserved count.

On Sale Detail, a layaway’s Sale type cell reads sales.enum.saleType.layaway rather than Layaway.
