The Payments menu is about money collected electronically — mobile money, card and bank transfer taken through a payment provider. It is not about recording customer payments against an invoice; that lives under Finance.

Seven screens, in two halves: the first three are about collecting, the last four about getting the money to you.

Screen What it is for State
Payment Requests Asking a customer to pay works
Merchant Ledger Your balance with your operator: collected, fees, paid out read-only
Payment Logs A record of collections read-only
Settlements What your operator has worked out to pay you read-only
Payout Accounts Your own bank or mobile-money accounts yours to manage
Payout Requests The payouts made to you, and where each has got to read-only
Settlement Schedules How often you are settled automatically read-only
  1. You raise a payment request — an amount to collect from a customer through a named provider.
  2. The customer pays. SaleSprint confirms the payment with the provider itself — prompted by the provider’s notification, by the customer returning to the payment page, or by its own regular check — and marks the request completed. A payment whose amount or currency does not match is held as Under review instead.
  3. The gateway fee and the platform fee are worked out and saved on the request. The payment appears in the Merchant Ledger as Pending.
  4. After the holding period it turns Available. This happens on its own.
  5. Your SaleSprint operator runs a Settlement — by hand or on a schedule. It gathers the available money, pays any SaleSprint subscription invoices you owe out of it, and records what is left as a payout to one of your Payout Accounts.
  6. Your operator approves the payout, sends it, and marks it Paid. Your books are updated at that point.

Fees, netting and payouts are explained in settlements and fees.

Your gateway credentials are not set up in this menu. They live at Settings → Payment Gateways, which needs its own permission. Until a provider is configured there, or your SaleSprint operator has set a default, raising a payment request will fail.

Every entry needs the Growth plan and its own permission under Payments.
