Your design lives in a draft until you publish it. Nothing you do on these screens is visible to shoppers until you press Publish on the Appearance screen.

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes.
  2. Browse the seven themes. Filter by industry or search by name.
  3. Click Apply theme on the one you want.
  4. Read the two switches:
    • Also seed the home page — on by default. It replaces your home page’s blocks with the theme’s demo content.
    • Replace my existing draft — off by default. Needed only if you already have unpublished design work.
  5. Click Apply to draft.
  6. Go to Appearance, look through the tabs, then Publish.
  1. Go to Online Store → Appearance.
  2. Work through the five tabs. They share one Save — switching tabs never loses anything.
  3. Click Save draft.
  4. Click Publish.

The badge at the top tells you where you stand: Unsaved changes, Never published, Unpublished changes, or Draft matches live site.

Your Site title and Tagline (used in the header, browser tab and search results), your Logo, Logo (light variant) for dark backgrounds, and your Favicon — each with Alt text.

Then 13 colour tokens — Primary, Accent (add to cart), Background, Sale price and so on. Any CSS colour works. The little swatch only previews #hex values, so an empty swatch next to an hsl() colour is normal, not an error.

Heading font and Body font take Google Font family names; an unknown name quietly falls back to the system font.

Currency display changes how prices are shown. It does not change what you are paid in.

Home page layout picks one of five arrangements — Classic, Sidebar, Showcase, Editorial or Services. Each has a description on screen. This restructures the home page; it does not change colours.

Shopper features are five switches: Product comparison, Wishlist, Quick view, Ratings & reviews, and Delivery estimate.

The Header tab sets the preset (Standard, Classic or Minimal), the search box wording, the announcement strip and its rotating messages, your main navigation links, and the optional deal pill.

The Footer tab sets your about text, address, email, support number, copyright, link columns, app-store badges, social profiles and payment badges.

The Mobile nav tab sets the bar that replaces the header on phones.

  1. Click Save draft.
  2. Click Publish.
  3. Confirm.

Allow up to a minute for the change to show. There is no preview — the only way to see your shop is to open its address in a browser.
