The Hospitality pack adds a folio counter and fourteen setup screens. All fourteen are real and working — an earlier version of this guide said they were empty, which is no longer true.
Two things have genuinely improved since: housekeeping now returns a room to service, and the folio counter takes real payment. One large gap remains, below.
Running the desk
Section titled “Running the desk”Go to Sales → Folio POS. Rooms show as cards badged Available, Occupied, Reserved, Cleaning or Out of service.
Checking a guest in
Section titled “Checking a guest in”- Tap an available room and click Open folio.
- Enter the Guest name, Guest phone and number of Adults. All are optional.
- Click Check in. The room turns Occupied.
During the stay
Section titled “During the stay”Tap the room and Resume to open the folio. Charges are added by tapping products in the grid — each adds one at its catalogue price.
Checking out
Section titled “Checking out”- Open the folio and click Check out & settle.
- Take payment — Cash, Card or Mobile money.
- The room turns Cleaning.
Cancel folio voids it instead: “This voids the folio and frees the room. No sale is created.” — and the room goes straight back to Available.
Housekeeping
Section titled “Housekeeping”This part now works end to end.
- Go to Verticals → Hotel & Hospitality → Housekeeping Board and click New.
- Choose the Company, Location and Room — all required.
- Set the Task type — Standard clean, Deep clean, Turndown, Checkout clean, Maintenance request or Inspection.
- Assign Staff and a Scheduled at time if you want.
- Save.
To work the task, use Advance task on its row and set the status to In progress, then Done.
The folio counter does not refresh by itself, so staff need to reload it to see a room turn green.
The rate catalogue
Section titled “The rate catalogue”Rate Plans, Seasonal Rates and Corporate Rates all work as records.
- Create a Rate Plan first — Name is required, plus optional Code, Currency, Includes breakfast, Refundable, Status and a Cancellation policy.
- Then add Seasonal Rates under it. The screen asks you to pick a rate plan first — until you do, it says “Select a rate plan to view its seasonal rates”. Each rate has a Room type, a Start and End date (both required), a Rate amount and a Priority.
- Corporate Rates work the same way beneath a Corporate Account.
Group bookings and corporate accounts
Section titled “Group bookings and corporate accounts”Corporate Accounts records a company that books with you — Company name is required, plus Code, contacts, a Credit limit, Billing terms and a Billing address. Status is set afterwards with Change status, never on the form.
Group Bookings takes a Group name (required), an optional Corporate account and Rate plan, contact details, Arrival and Departure dates, Rooms requested and a Discount %. Group Booking Rooms then lists the individual rooms beneath it.
Minibar
Section titled “Minibar”Minibar Stocks sets what should be in each room’s minibar — a Room, a Product and an Expected qty. Minibar Consumption records what was taken; pick the room first.
Last restocked appears as a column but there is no field anywhere to set it.
Night audit
Section titled “Night audit”Night Audit is a manual log, not an automatic process. Start audit opens one; Complete audit closes it; Revert audit reopens a completed one for correction.
Starting an audit does not roll the date, post room charges, close folios or change any room status.
Booking sites
Section titled “Booking sites”OTA Channels and OTA Room Mappings let you record which Booking.com or Expedia property and room codes match your rooms.
Guest preferences
Section titled “Guest preferences”Guest Preferences records a Customer, a Preference type — Pillow type, Room temperature, Floor, View, Dietary restriction, Special occasion, Amenity, Language, Newspaper or Other — and a Value.
Other things to know
Section titled “Other things to know”Two boxes ask for a number that encodes days or task types — “Days of week (mask)” on a seasonal rate and “Applies to task types (mask)” on a checklist item. Leave the defaults (127 and 63); they already mean “all”.
Three search boxes search internal codes, not names — housekeeping tasks, minibar stocks and minibar consumption. Searching a room number or product name finds nothing there.
Some room and rate pickers list every company’s records, not just the one you are working in. Check the record belongs to the right company before saving.
Export produces no file. Only Rate Plans offers it, and it downloads nothing.
Every list stops at 200 records, night audits at 100.
Menu labels differ from page titles in six places — “Housekeeping Board” opens “Housekeeping Tasks”, “Minibar Stocks” opens “Minibar Products”, and so on. Same screen.
Company and Location are locked after creating a record, though the pickers still open and let you choose before discarding it.
