Counters for your trade

If your shop runs on an industry pack, you get a counter built for that trade instead of the general till. There are five, and they all work the same way underneath.

Each needs its industry pack switched on, the Growth plan or above, and its own permission. See Plans and what they unlock.

Every trade counter works in two stages:

  1. You build the document — the table’s tab, the guest’s folio, the client’s ticket, the rental agreement, the prescription.
  2. You settle and take payment — one payment, on a shared pay screen, which completes the sale and prints a receipt.

  1. Go to Sale Transactions → Restaurant POS. Pick your shop in the top bar if asked.
  2. Tap a free table. Enter the Number of guests and optionally a Customer name, then confirm. (Tap an occupied table to go back to its tab. New takeaway opens a tab with no table.)
  3. Add items from the menu. For each, open Item modifiers & notes to set Modifiers and a kitchen Note, then Apply.
  4. Press Send to Kitchen. Each press sends only what is new since the last one.
  5. When the guests are ready, press Settle & Pay, choose Cash, Card or Mobile money, enter Cash tendered if paying cash, and press Confirm payment.
  6. Optionally press Print receipt. The table is freed.

To abandon a tab, press Cancel tab. No sale, no stock movement and no money is recorded.

Kitchen staff open Sale Transactions → Kitchen display and move each ticket through Start preparing → Mark ready → Mark served.

A bill can now be split, but only from Sale Transactions → Split Tickets — not from the restaurant counter itself.

  1. Go to Sale Transactions → Split Tickets.
  2. Pick the tab in the Open tab dropdown.
  3. Click Split tab.
  4. Give the ticket a Guest label, then tick the lines that person is paying for. Ticking a line reveals a Quantity and a Line total you can change, so a shared dish can be divided unevenly.
  5. Save, and repeat for each payer.
  6. Settle each ticket from its row.

The floor screen is a map of your tables, colour-coded Free, Occupied, Reserved and Out of service.

On the tab you add items as normal, plus two things the general till does not have: modifiers per item (extras, substitutions — the price adjusts) and a kitchen note.

Send to kitchen fires a ticket. Press it as often as you like: each press only sends what has been added since the last one. Changing an item’s modifiers or note marks it unsent, so it goes again on the next press.

Settle & Pay turns the tab into a sale and frees the table. Cancel tab voids it with no sale.

A separate screen for the kitchen, showing tickets as they are fired. Each moves sent → preparing → ready → served, forwards only.

It is an ordinary screen with its own permission — open it on a kitchen tablet if you want, but nothing requires a separate device.

Tap a room to check a guest in — name, phone, number of adults — and the room is marked occupied. Tap an occupied room to return to its folio.

Charges post to the folio as you ring them, straight away, rather than sitting in a basket. Quantity works by charging again rather than editing a number, so + and − add and remove single charges.

Checking out settles the folio into one bill, takes payment and puts the room into cleaning.

Printing the folio itself is not available yet.

Two tabs: the ticket you are working on, and a day board of today’s appointments and walk-ins. Ring up on the day board starts a ticket with the stylist and client already filled in.

On the ticket, confirm the stylist — required — pick the client or type a walk-in name, then add services and any retail products. Settling bills it and takes payment in one go.

Two things to know:

  • A service with no product behind it, and no default service item configured, is dropped from the bill. If nothing is billable the ticket still completes, with nothing to pay.
  • Stylist commission rate cards can be set up, but the counter does not calculate or pay commission when a ticket settles. Treat commission as separate from this screen.

Enter who is renting — a customer on file, or a name, phone and ID number — set the start and due dates, and add the items. The catalogue price is read as the daily rate, and the screen shows a running estimate of the rent.

Checking out creates the agreement and bills the rent only. The rented item itself is never sold or taken out of stock.

Returning an item is not done at this counter — it is a status change on the rental agreement in the admin list. Recording the condition of a returned item is not available on any screen yet.

Either select an existing prescription — its items load with the quantity still owed — or capture a new one at the counter by adding items, attaching a prescriber and naming the patient.

Prescriptions carry no prices of their own, so the pharmacist sets the price per item when dispensing.

Dispense & Pay dispenses only the lines with a quantity entered and takes payment.
